Here are some Oklahoma boys with some of the days
catch......
Crappie are doing good and walleye are catchable with some
searching to find the "feeders". The walleye should get better the next few days with the moon waning.....

spent the last 3 days chasing the crappie.......with a bit

The bite is getting better for crappie and walleye are

Weather was hot but I decided to try the afternoon walleye
bite since we had a good wind.
Started about 5:15 and had 8 walleye in the boat by 6:45!
The best part was that 7 of the 8 were "keepers". They were all released to fight again.....so......Let's Go Fishin' JR

Sorry for the long stretch between reports. Computer crashed
and now we are up and running again.....
The walleye are doing good with limits coming each day for
the last 2 weeks.....there is an abundance of good eating
size fish this year. Crappie are a bit hard to come by right
now, but should pick up soon......

are catching a good number of walleye now. Here are some of

Can this spring weather get any crazier? Lake is up to
8 ft. above normal and has dropped back into the mid-50's

The walleye bite is picking up.....here are 2 limits from
today. The crappie are shallow when the water is near or
above 60 degrees......then it cools down and they move out
again.....Overall, fishin' is good.....so, Let's Go......JR

Finally have a good crappie report.......Have been catchin'
everyone's limits the last few trips.....the warm days are
bringing them close to the spawning areas. We are starting
to see a few walleye in with them, too!

It has been a few days since the last report because the
crappie and walleye have been playing hard to get!
We are still catching walleye just before dark but are only
catching bass during the day unless we go way up the river
to find feeding crappie. So, here are some of the bass we
are catching......Chad has been putting it to me by catching
the big ones until today.......

March 18 thru 20th, 2011
Gary and Chatty had a great afternoon on Friday, then the
bottom fell out of the fishing.
They had their limits of crappie and a limit of walleye.
Some storms rolled thru Saturday and we could not find a
crappie Sunday afternoon. We did catch a few walleye just
before dark. The lake is up 3 ft. high now, and the fish
will be wanting to move into the flooded brush.

This was a good day finding fish in 3 ft. of water early.
The action was fast for a while. Terry and Ray got a nice
bunch of white bass and crappie early, then, switched to
walleye in the evening. Thanks for a great day, guys.

Even though we've had some wet,cool weather the last 2 days,
we have managed to get out and catch some crappie in the
afternoon and then some walleye right before dark. The
water is still around 39 degrees and is keeping the fish
from becoming too active. When the warming starts, the
fishin' will be good.........

The walleye are starting their pre-spawn feed in the
evenings. These were caught in about 15 minutes right before
dark.
We also had some crappie, white bass and some good bass
earlier.

Launched off the gravel since the ramp was still frozen and
found fish at the edge of the ice along a creek channel. We had a fun day and 65 degree weather!

Jan 13, 2011 I decided at around 1:00pm to thaw out some lanes on the ramp and try a little fishin'.......called a buddy and he said he would meet me in 20 minutes........well, the ice on the water was away from the dock, but the boat was frozen down to the trailer........sat in the water 'till about 3:00 and it never came loose............

Crappie still doing great and walleye are starting to
show. I caught this nice pair today. James and I had 3 walleye, along with 29 nice crappie. Weather may be colder than normal, but, the fishin' is HOT!!!!!!!

Still catching a lot of crappie when the wind will allow!
The black crappie population is as good as it gets here!
Some really nice ones like this 2#er are coming in.........
The bass fishin' has also been good with reports of some
nice smallmouth coming off of shallow points.
Still not much happening with the walleye, but, graphed a
lot of nice fish holding in deep water along the river
channel yesterday.
Although you have to dress for it, our winter fishing can be
some of the best action of the year.....

Walleye are very scattered and it is tough to catch many!
Crappie and Bass are stealing the show here on Stockton.
The crappie are moving deeper and are sporadic on their
feeding times.

battling the high winds on the lake the last 2 days, We
decided to try the river today. Bite was a bit slow, But we
managed to pick up several crappie. Here are Larry and Gary
Turner with some of the nice ones!
With 30-35mph wind today, I think I'll stay off the water!

crappie continue to make a beautiful day even better! We got
Gary his limit of white and black crappie in a short time
and caught and released over 45 more fish like
these..........Walleye are still a bit slow with mostly
shorts coming to the boat. This cooler weather should make
them more active now!

big walleye boat definitely fits between the waves on
Stockton when the south winds hits about 30 kts. The big windshield couldn't even keep me dry today! Crappie fishing was tough because of the fierce wind but, we did catch a few and some top water bassin' is always fun. We are to have a good cool down this weekend and that should make 'em hungry!!! Well, September is a wet one so far! We have had 11+ inches
of rain this month already! It has kept the fishing a

Had two half day trips today.....3 limits of crappie, some
largemouth bass and then some terrific white bass top water
action in the late afternoon. And, most of them weighed from 1 1/2 to 2 pounds each with a few even bigger! Haven't seen them like this in a long time...........

The crappie and walleye are in their summer feeding patterns
strong now......We had 25 crappie and a limit of walleye,
yesterday. Debbie and Terry Miller from Laurie,MO had seven
nice walleye including these two 4# fish today. Should have
had more, but......Terry spent too much time catching
catfish!!!!!!

day by spending it after Missouri walleye. We dropped Jean off at noon and went back looking for the big one! Had 6 or 7 keepers and kept these 4 for there supper......

We had a lot of nice large mouth, Kentucky and this healthy smallmouth bass while walleye fishing. The bite was steady and these were kept for Jim and Ed's dinner! The walleye are growing rapidly and there should be no problem catching multiple limits of legal fish by mid-July.....   SO.............Let's Go Fishin'..................................JR

May 24 thru June 1.....
With the holiday weekend bringing out a lot of traffic, I stayed
off the lake! However we did catch a lot of walleye and
bass on a half day trip Monday morning. Water is continuing to
fall from the flooded brush and more fish will be caught as it
does. Looking like we will have a great walleye and crappie
season this year!

While
the weather is still in the early spring mode, the fishin' is
pretty good when you find a place out of the wind! The walleye are biting well with several days this last week seeing 20 to 35 caught each day. However, they are still running small with only a few of them legal size. Crappie are finishing their spawn on the upper lake and are moving out a bit deeper. Bass are spawning but are having a tough go as water temps are back into the upper 50's after several cool nights.......

were just short of the walleye limit.

Wind is giving us problems, but still managed some small
walleye, a few bass and some crappie. Warmer weather is back so, the bite should get going strong now. Don't forget, you will find your most active fish in the shallowest water!

Water temps are finally stabilizing above 60 degrees and the
fish are responding! These were taken after 5:00PM.

Walleye still slow to overcome our late winter....Crappie and
bass still doing good though........ Let's Go Fishin' JR March 17th thru Mar.27th Crappie are still doing good although they are breaking into smaller schools anticipating warming water. We had 14" of snow on the 21st and now are receiving alot of rain. I am afraid that as the water is slowing warming, the walleye will move into the flodded brush to feed and make tough fishing conditions...... Although
the weather keeps spring away, some of the fish keep hoping the
shallows are warming up. The crappie are very restless, roaming
back and forth.and bass are making a move to warming areas. the
walleye are still holding back.
It has been a lot of years since our water has remained this
cold for so long.

2-15-10 Despite water still very cold, fish are starting to migrate shallower.....we are finding alot of fish in same locations, but a bit closer to shore! Walleye are starting to feed better up the lake a ways, so it shouldn't be long until they turn on in the dam area! Will it ever warm up? I love winter fishing but this is ridiculous!

But, I am ready!!!!!! Let's Go Fishin' .......JR Report; Dec 31,2009 Walleye fishing has been super tough this fall/winter. Crappie are doing fair right now on main lake if you don't mind going deep. I caught them last trip as deep as 50ft. That takes patience, but, can be rewarding. We are having the coldest stretch of weather that we have had in several years. So, I am expecting good things when the January "thaw" comes....

I have enjoyed a few
days off, but ready to go again.
That was just in 24 hrs.
The lakes are all up a bunch with alot of fish back in the
flooded brush.
Crappie and bass are still
the best catch right now. Walleye should start gathering
on points again soon.
We are not getting any
stable weather, so, the fishing is good one day and not-so-good
the next. So remember, Let's Go Fishin'..........JR

catch". Let's Go FISHIN'....... JR July 1st.... Things are a bit crazy this week. The walleye and crappie seem to have taken a vacation for a few days. Folks are calling me asking, "Are you catching any fish?" It has been tough for about 3 days, Moon is going full, water has cooled after getting really warm last week. I think the fish are confused. One good note, though, you can really have a bluegill extravaganza. They are everywhere. The walleye bite should turn on again soon. We did catch a nice walleye and some 13" crappie late today.

June 1-9 Walleye fishin' is picking up. Caught a nice limit today in 35 minutes. Water temp is in the low 70's. Crappie are scattered on the main lake with trolling working the best. The fish will be in very
shallow water one day, then backed off again until it warms up
again.
Forecast is looking better,
so the bite should improve quickly.....

It's looking like a lot of walleye have spawned, but we are still picking up a few males. All the fishing has slowed, but as soon as we get some warm, stable weather, things should break open.
